Hi! I am Lynne, and the Founder of Rockstar Cocker Rescue. Home base for us is Fulton, IL, and I have been involved in shelter, adoption, and rescue advocacy since my husband and I adopted our first cocker in 1987. Cockers quickly became my passion after finding our second cocker as a stray in 1991 and adopting a third from our local shelter in 1994. I have an education background in food and nutrition along with psychology and sociology studies, and I am thrilled to be Rockstar's pack leader.
Rocky was the inspiration for the rescue name! We rescued Rocky from a shelter in AL after he came in very neglected. Rocky taught us that we may not always be dealt with ideal situations in our lives, but we can bounce back with love and become a true Rockstar! Rocky was adopted and lived and loved a full life in Iowa. Sadly, we announce that our inspiration, Rocky, passed away and headed to the Rainbow Bridge on June 9th, 2020. We will forever keep him in our hearts as we move forward in his memory. RIP sweet Rocky.
Paige is our Trainer and foster home for Rockstar Cocker Rescue. She currently resides in Cedar Rapids, IA and teaches high school. We truly believe that she can understand the most confused cockers like Rocky, and was Rocky's foster mom. We are fortunate to have Paige as a part of our pack!
Steve comes along for the fun in our pack play by being married to Lynne. He describes himself as "grunt" but he handles a lot behind the scenes, and is also our photographer. He helps to keep us on track and get us where we need to be!
A vital part of operating a rescue is our many foster homes in a number of states. Currently we have foster homes in IA, IL, IN, WI, and several in our southern group of AL and TN. We also have support homes that assist in getting dogs from the shelter, temp foster until transport is arranged, and get vetting done for cockers while they wait to head in the direction of an adoptive home. These can be found in KY, NC, SC, MI, MN, MO and more. A huge thank you to all that help, as we could not do it without you!
There's so much to see here. Feel frlook aound, and learn all there is to know about us. Please note that we may multiple applications for the same dog. We strive to make the best fit in each situation, both for the dog and the adoptive home. We place dogs in our regions only. WE DO NOT PLACE DOGS ON THE EAST OR WEST
Your generous gift will help us fund our mission to help those in need. Together, we can make a difference. Every penny goes to the dogs care and well-being, and Rockstar is 501C3 NFP approved, so your donations are tax exempt.
We are a 501C3 approved, IL Ag Licensed, Nonprofit organization, focused on helping make the world around us a better, happier place. With the help of our all volunteer group, we organize fundraisers, pet education, and adoption events to find better homes for cocker spaniels.

Whether you help through monetary donations, volunteering your time, or spreading our mission through word-of-mouth, thank you. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
Please remember the basic questions can be answered by looking at the tabs on our website. We do not talk with people about details on any dogs until we have an approved application on file. Our headquarters address is not a shelter, facility or location that has dogs that you can stop by to see. It is a personal residence/private property; please be mindful of this. The phone number should not be called unless there is no answer to a question and an email has not been returned. Thank you!
